For the Pioneers at

everything you don't need to know about anything
Traveling post-holidays can be a real test of your faith in humanity especially when you’ve just left your cozy bed for the first time in ten days to catch a 7:00am flight back to reality. You know. You’ve been there.
Any preexisting prejudices disappear upon entering the busy airport and all its inhabitants become instant enemies regardless of age, gender, race, religion, or level of attractiveness. No amount of belated Christmas music playing over the airport speakers can suppress the violent urges that start to build up inside me towards complete strangers. You might be thinking, “Oh, Hanna. You’re just being sarcastic for the sake of maybe getting a little chuckle. There’s got to be someone you can muster a shred of sympathy for!”
No I’m not and no, there isn’t.
Old people in the security line, happy families holding hands and blocking the moving walkway, disgustingly attractive man who thinks he can get away with taking my window seat, small babies crying during the flight because their little ears are aching – I despise them all.
Luckily, this travel-induced fury can usually be contained by a few pre-flight cocktails. But this doesn’t always work, like now, when it’s 6:30am and the restaurant bartender isn’t even here yet.
