Colour Selection…

Our New Home
Paddington 29 @ Kellyville
Well, not long after we signed things we had to decide on the colours, fittings, and general look of the house that we were building. There are a lot, HEAPS!, of things to select and make decisions on. It took us an entire day at the appointment and that didn’t even include the electrical or tiling appointments that we did separately later. It was a long time ago now, in April or May 2014 so I can’t really remember every single detail of those appointments, it was all a bit of a blur but at the same time we weren’t rushed or pushed into anything either.
In our package with Clarendon we already were getting a lot of free things included. We had the Sapphire level inclusions, which are the 2nd tier (of 3 tiers) luxury items, plus we had additional inclusions from the “Summer of Free” promotion they were running at the time. Inclusions such as a large Smeg brand 900mm oven and stove top, raised ceilings on the ground floor, air conditioning, security alarm system, luxury tapware in all the bathrooms and kitchens, upgraded counter tops and premium cupboards, and probably a bunch more things I can’t remember off the top of my head. We do have it all in writing but it’s simply too much to write out here.
What I do have is pictures of our samples and a picture of our colour selection for external. There are more samples and other colours not shown in these pictures but these are the main ones. I might edit the unlabelled picture at a later date to add all the names of the colours if anyone wants to know.
On the left side at the top you can see the “Paperbark” colour of our garage door, the fascia and downpipes as well as many of the metal things that go on the external of the house. To the right of that is the colour of our roof, it’s actually a little bit blue but hard to see in this picture. Our roof will be Colorbond and this colour is called “Ironstone”. Just below the “Paperback” sample is another very similar colour but you can kind of see it is a tiny bit more orange/red hued and slightly darker, this will be the colour of the window frames. I forget the name of the colour right now but it’s written on the back of the sample, so I can update if needed. Below that is a sample of the colour that we are using for the cladding on the upper floor’s external wall, again I forget the name sorry. To the right of that is the colour of our front door… yes! It’s very blue isn’t it! :) haha!
On the right side of the page is some of the internal colours and surfaces. At the top left is the colour of our kitchen cupboards. If you click on the image, you should see it in full size and you will be able to see that we have chosen to pay extra to have the grain running horizontally. Below that is the colour of a lot of the cupboards around the house, like the cupboards in the laundry etc. Below that is the colour, I think, of the bathroom cupboards.. but I could be wrong there. On the right side at the top of this page is the wall colour throughout the house, it’s not pure white but it’s not that dark either. Below that is the sample of our stone bench and cabinet tops throughout the entire house and the last one is.. well.. I can’t remember but it must have something to do with the cabinets because it looks similar to the stone top colour. :) I’ll try to remember what the colours match up with and update this post with the details.

Below you can see the colours for External, everything is clearly labelled, so I won’t bother to write it all out. Click on the picture for a full size image.
