there still are silver mines in san diego county California USA . about 10 years ago I was trying to find the road over the mountains. Driving through the reservation san paul mission, went over mount diablo. down the road a ways. drove past a sign saying , silver mine. Very twisting Road. I understand there are a few silver mines still in operation. the Mission Road and near that mountain on the other side of the Oceanside. on the way to Borrego springs. got as far as the very spot where yogananda had a picture taken of himself . saw it in an assertive periodical. He was standing in front of the same large stone with a bronze plack, overlooking the borrego valley. Yogananda, Rajesh and Mr Lewis hand a land deal going on at one time in the Borrego desert valley . I guess the idea was they were going to break up 1 large parcel into a lot of little parcels. that was the quickest way over the mountain to the valley itself. Rajesh did establish a house and farm in the Borrego Valley. Yogananda are treat center but it was long time vandalized. along with Rajesh very modern house. I have seen pictures of his house recently. I am pretty sure the house had a swimming pool. The farm close buy, very large. Have seen pictures of him standing holding a cabbage in a SRF periodical dedicated to him. wanted very much to visit there. never been able to . the closest I have been is to that spot mentioned above. my plan now is to go around to the back side and enter Borrego from the desert side. yes, there is still silver in san diego county, 10.4.14 thinking about rock formations in vista. at one time in vista and san Marcos thats were a lot of surface gemstones were found before 1960 . San Marcos is the next town down the road. precious stone were in the form of raw crystals on the ground there abouts . if you go to the mineral museum in Fallbrook you will see some of those large stones found in the Stuart mine. Much different than the surface stone in San Marcos but this in later. There is a impressive 6 foot plus solid crystal with hallow core.there. usto be a lot of those kind of hello stone in san Marcos. Across from the freeway where fries the computer store is now. down from Palomar College. usto go over that a way when a Santana blows hot. Stop at Georges Berger’s to get some. hoping my over heated car would start after I turned it off. while my girlfriend was woofing down three Berger’s with fries . Gotta stop at George’s for burgers .every time I go out that away. Then fries computer store. mr berger my junior high art school teacher usto collect stone there . Well that’s the burger.
10.4.14. yesterday went to the green waste processing center out by the lincon school on Oceanside blvd. the passer mine has always impressed me. I remember when it was in operation. I am pretty sure that they were mining for stone for stucco and concrete. 10th of a mile down the road there a processing center for stone block. in san paul mission reservation there is a processing center for stone . there is a lot of stone large ground stone formations. in vista all so. Almost all the large stone formations are gone. .sad such beautiful structures . the plaser mine is still there strange they haven’t filled it in.even though it is accessible. Accessible through the green waist area gate. reprocessing to green waste into topsoil.
