Crystals, minerals and gemstones. These words have all have separate definitions but are linked to certain ideas. Crystals, even though they are just a crystal, they are connected with new age meditation and healing. Minerals are defined as a solid inorganic substance that naturally occur in nature, this is the science of it all. Gemstones are more in the realm of jewelry; for a mineral to be considered as a gem it usually has to follow the 4 C’s: color, cut, clarity and carat weight.
