Hi Dolls! Well this post has been long over due! I think it’s been more than a few weeks in which I haven’t done an actual nail post, but here I am again with it! A couple of days ago I got a goody box with some pretty awesome nail products that I’ll be sharing with you today and I’ll be reviewing them as well. One of those items was a Morgan Taylor gift set that I fell in love with!
First, I have to give you all my disclaimer: I am not writing on these products because I was asked to, paid to, or anything like that. I’ve received products before and I’ve written about them because I choose to, to let you all know how the product works and it’s benefits.
Now that I have that out of the way, I have to be honest and say that before I had received this goody box, I had not heard of Morgan Taylor Lacquers.  I’m a bit disappointed in myself because I feel like I fell off my nail game.  Morgan Taylor Lacquers are thoughtfully developed for optimum style and performance. Inspired by luminous pearls, raw gems, semi-precious stones, glimmering silvers and radiant gold all drawn from the earth.  All pigments are saturated, pure and finely milled for luminous metallics, never before seen shimmers, decadent crèmes, stunning sheers, and more glistening glitters.
I received their Home For The Holidays Gift Set with Snow Place Like Home and New Year, New Blue (on the left)

Also included with the gift set was the cutest Toe Separators with little gemstones on the ends of it.  I immediately opened them and started my normal routine of doing my nails.

The consistency of the nail polish is a bit more creamier, best way I can describe it, as it is not thin nor too thick, it was just right.  The color is a very rich, beautiful royal blue with super finely milled glitter that gives it a multidimensional color, you can see hints of rich reds, light electric blues, a silver. This shade is what I would consider a true royal blue, unlike to other ‘royal blues’ that I’ve seen.

The consistency of Snow Place Like Home is actually the same and I was surprised about that.  Being that many polishes that are glittery based are almost always more runny and thinner, this one was actually the same consistency as New Year, New Blue. It’s really a beautiful shade with super micro fined glitter with some holographic hex glitter in different sizes, it’s also semi-sheer which would look amazing on it’s own as well.
I did my nails as normal and I applied the first coat and I was really surprised. I really didn’t need a second coat, so I didn’t apply a second coat. The first single application was just perfect.
It is also quick drying too! I mean, by the time I had finished applying nail polish to my toesies, my nails were already completely dry!
Since the nail polish reminded me of royalty, I decided to do a little crown design on my ring finger using Snow Place Like Home.  I took tape and started cutting triangles and applied it to my nail until I got the crown shape and size that I wanted.

I then applied 2 coats of Snow Place Like Home and removed the tape.  I waited 10 minutes for it to fully dry and then I applied a nice coat of Gelous, let it dry followed by Seche Vite Top Coat.
This is the end result:

This is with indoor lighting. I love how the crown looks!

This is with natural light; you can really see the royal blue and how the crown came out. Also, I just noticed that I need to do additional clean up on my cuticles lol ;)
In all, I’m actually very impressed with these lacquers. I really do LOVE how quick drying they are and their consistency as many nail polishes are more “runny” than creamier.
You can learn more about Morgan Taylor Lacquers by visiting their website here and you can shop for them here. They will cost you $8.50 each and their collection is spectacular!
What do you guys think about it? For those of you that have Morgan Taylor in your nail polish collection, how do you like it? Do you like their consistency better than the others that you have? I really do highly recommend them and rest assure I’ll be adding them to my own collection.
xoxo
