   BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to time in federal prison for his role in a drug trafficking ring.
Ronell Hanks, 25, was sentenced on Thursday. Court documents and testimony reveal, Hanks ran a drug ring that sold heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine.
Police seized drugs, cars, jewelry, guns, and about $100,000 in cash during their investigation. Hanks pleaded guilty to drug charges in August.
Hanks had to give up cars, money, and jewelry as part of his court agreement. He’ll spend 17 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release.
