Oscars 2015: Best & Worst

   Best
  1. Margot Robbie: She won all of the Oscars with this look. All of them. Aside from being drop dead gorgeous with minimal makeup and the edgiest cut & color, her black Saint Laurent dress is the ultimate chic. We always love a long sleeve on the red carpet. The Winner!
  1. Emma Stone: While this neon green Elie Saab would be hard to pull off for most, Emma’s translucent skin tone and fiery red hair make it totally work. The beading is so unique, adding even more individuality to her style. And again with the long sleeves- love it!
  1. Gwenyth Paltrow: We might just love this look because it’s a nod to Gwen’s infamous pink Ralph Lauren Oscar dress… but that’s totally a good reason. The slim cut, asymmetrical neckline, and origami flower shows of her amazing bod as well as signature pretty in pink look.
  1. Rosamund Pike: The scalloped neckline, thigh hit slit, bombshell color- what’s not to love! Rosamund nailed it with this waist slimming red Givenchy gown, matching strappy sandal, and minimal Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
  2. Reese Witherspoon: Reese Witherspoon is the epitome of sophistication and style in this flawless Tom Ford dress. We love the black and white contrast, and the off-the shoulder neckline highlights her Best Actress nominee face.

Worst
  1. Lady Gaga: Aside from the amazingly obvious Clueless reference, this Alaia should have stood out on it’s own. There was no need for the red kitchen sink gloves- but we suppose it wouldn’t be a Gaga outfit without something to talk about.
  1. Nicole Kidman: With the awkward red belt, stepford wife hair, and snooze-worthy silhouette, this Louis Vuitton dress was nowhere near Oscar-worthy.
  1. Chloë Grace Moretz: We hate hate, hate to rag on a 17 year old girl (who we adore) but this Miu Miu oversized gown did not work on Chloë. We would have loved to see her in something younger and fresher. Next time!
  1. Behati Prinsloo: Not even Adam Levine could fix this look. This red beaded Armani Privé, paired with a slicked back up-do and matching red lip, is way too harsh and vampire- like. Not my favorite.
  1. Naomi Watts: We just can’t get behind this supposedly ‘modern’ Armani look. The black bandeau is super weird for a black tie event like the Oscars, and we’re not huge fans of the dress’s mirror-like tiling.
