 Presenting People and Places of the American West by George Pearce. Pearce is an award-winning photographer who loves photographing New Mexico and the American West. Pearce loves traveling the American West, photographing its vast landscape and people. His many awards include national and international juried competitions. He has exhibited widely in galleries in the Albuquerque metropolitan area, including three one-man shows at High Desert Art and Frame, the Photographers Gallery in Old Town Albuquerque, and one-man shows at several Albuquerque libraries.

 Framing Concepts Gallery will host Broad Strokes, an interpretation of individual life experiences then re-imaged into visual expression. Each artist works diversely and with different mediums nevertheless the narrative of movement, time, and space are masterfully rendered. Lisa Chernoff creates works in fused glass, Joan Fenicle works in Oil, and Carol Estes creates abstracts.

 In The Landscape of Meditation: Fine Art Tapestries of Donna Loraine Contractor, the artist responds to the theme as well as using Sacred Geometry in Mandala forms to surround her signature “windows”. Contractor presents her newest series The Sacred Geometry Tapestries. In Fine Art Glass by Jerry Barnett the artist speaks of his work as being drawn to places where the land tells its own formative story of upheaval and eruption, of folds and layers put down over time, then carved and exposed by the effects of time. The exhibit continues through February 27.
