Samantha Rabidoux, one of my dear high schools friends, took the time to answer few of my blogging questions. You can follow her blog here!
1. What inspired you to start a blog?
Well, my junior year of high school I met a girl through a mutual friend who had a blog called “Matchstickmolly.com.” I am not even sure if it is up anymore. She posted her blog posts via Facebook so I started reading. Once I started reading her blog, I was suddenly exposed to the blog world and started reading a lot more personal blogs like “Casey Leigh” and “The Daybook.” I wanted to start blogging because I really loved how they had all of there memories kept right there in one spot forever.
2. Does the title of your blog have a meaning behind it?
My blog title is For Keepsake and the meaning is just to remember special times.
3. What are your favorite subjects to blog about?
My favorite thing to blog about would be my personal life. I have nothing in specific that I enjoy blogging about.
4.What are some of your favorite blogs to follow?
- The Daybook
- Casey Leigh
- Simply Clarke
- Mal Smiles (Mal was one of the first women to help me get my blogs started!)
- Camp Patton
- Emily Maynard
I was asked to blog about used textbooks for money once, but I didn’t feel that it went with my blog’s theme so I did not end up writing a post about it. I also was asked to do a post about “Brilliant Earth” jewelry for a small portion of money, and I accepted.
6. What do your future plans for blogging look like?
My future plans for my blog are to really find something I love to write about. Right now my blog is not focused at all and I would like to find something I truly enjoy writing about!
7. If you could give one piece of advice to aspiring bloggers what would it be?
Even if you have nothing to blog about, blog anyway! Being able to have my blog as a creative outlet definitely reenergizes me.
Thanks Samantha!
