About half of our guests are from out town – and many need months to plan their travel, save for and hunt for cheap airfare, and to request time off from work. As a kindness, we’re sending out our cards around Valentine’s Day, which gives everyone about 8 months to plan. The invitations, which I’ve already ordered, won’t mail until this summer. But the save the date cards are the first tangible thing we’re sending out, reminding everyone that yes, this is really happening.
I can’t wait to show off what we did for the cards – it was a stroke of genius. But I can’t spoil the surprise yet!
But what I can say is I’ve had a shocking realization. I am marrying Andy Kauffman’s illegitimate child.
