Dudley will later say that he never ran as fast as he did now. His sweet, bighearted, foolish cousin was risking his life to save him. Him, Dudley Dursley. His tormentor…
-Flashback-
Nine year old Dudley Dursley and his gang were chasing his scrawny looking cousin. Finally, after a ten minute gruelling chase Malcolm had caught up with their prey and tripped him.
“Good one. ” Dudley complemented and kicked the emerald eyed boy in the ribs. “If it isn’t the wittle bwind fweak. ” he mocked and his gang nearly died howling in laughter. “Pick him up. ” he ordered Piers and the scrawny rat like boy obeyed still chuckling. Soon Harry was up and his hands held by Piers as Dudley delivered punches into his cousin. They didn’t notice the blood oozing from the boy’s ribs nor did they see the pain filling his emerald green eyes as any emotion or life they held disappeared leaving them hollow and empty. Lifeless.
Soon the bell to class rang and they forgot their prey. Gordon, of course, made sure to step on Harry’s round glasses that had fallen off. The boy laughed. They all did. Only Harry didn’t. He finally met Dudley’s eyes and the pudgy boy shuddered at the lifeless orbs.
They haunted him forever.

his humiliator…
-Flashback-
A few days passed since the hollow eyes first met his. It was finally Christmas. Aunt Marge came as usual, bringing him a video game and a packet of dog biscuits for Harry. He tolerated her for that only as she tended to be smothering. She had a dog named Ripper. The huge bulldog provided some comic relief as it chased the little freak into a tree. The brat stayed there till midnight.
He laughed like the rest, but deep inside his mind a little voice wanted to scream at the cruelty shown towards family. He shook his head. The abnormality was no family of his. But he made mistake of looking up. Suddenly, a memory of haunted emerald orbs assaulted him, making him shudder. His laughter died down. His dad saw it and asked Aunt Marge to call Ripper off. She did.
From the corner of his eye he saw Harry climb down and was once again reminded of that lifeless stare. He shuddered again and went inside.

but he still saved him. Dudley nearly cried in relief seeing the copper sign saying Privet Drive no.4 and dashed to the door desperately banging on it. His mum opened them.
“Dudleykins, I was beginning…” she trailed off after seeing his pale, horrified face. “Ddudley..?” she stuttered finally using no nickname and drawing attention of his dad.
“Dudley, what’s wrong? ” he asked.
“It’s Harry. ” Dudley whispered, forcing himself not to hurl at the situation he left his cousin in.
“What did the little freak do now? ” that pissed Dudley off. He couldn’t help it. For the first time in his life he shouted at his father:
“HARRY ISN’T A FREAK! HE’S PROBABLY DYING RIGHT NOW AND IT COULD’VE BEEN ME! “
Petunia gasped and asked silently:
