For Mardi Gras week, we colored, read about Mardi Gras traditions and made festive cereal-plus-pipe-cleaner jewelry. Rocky is no fool and quickly learned that Apple Jacks are delicious and can/should be eaten off of the pipe cleaner bracelets just as fast as possible. Rocky – 1 Mom – 0 haha!
Also, did you know that there are almost no books for kids about Mardi Gras? If you are ever an aspiring children’s author looking for your niche – there you go!:)
To finish off the week we headed to Whole Foods for beignets and Cafe du Monde coffee. I think Rocky apprised the beignets to be even more delectable than Apple Jacks, and rightly so. :)
