We have been through a lot, and it all started with finding one of the most unique and one-of-a-kind galleries in Cloud-croft, New Mexico. It was called the Copper Butterfly. The store showcased artists’ works from all over New Mexico, as well as surrounding states. It truly was a rare find…and we came to love the art as well as the Artists. However, in December 2010, our world changed as we knew it. The Pine Stump Mall next to our gallery burned down and the fire consumed the Copper Butterfly as well. It was a devastating to see all of the beautiful art turned into ashes.
But everything happens for a reason. Two years later, we decided to relocate to a special place that we always loved—Santa Fe! Out of the ashes of the Copper Butterfly comes the new Turquoise Butterfly ! Turquoise Butterfly is an artistic gallery located in an old, historic, adobe building along the Santa Fe River in prestigious Santa Fe, New Mexico. It also is a rare find and so visually exciting that visitors cannot resist taking pictures of the historic building with amazing mosaic art throughout.
At the Turquoise Butterfly you will find unusual jewelry, useful and beautiful pottery, clothing, mesquite-inlaid furniture, amazing Southwestern art, a fine gallery, and so many other treasures. We believe in supporting talented artists in the area as well as finding those unique items that you will only see in our store. Our gallery is different from all the others in Santa Fe, and we hear our guests tell us that often. We are a Gallery Different in a City Different!
