Everyone knows how to dress, it’s just about having inspiration stir up the fashionista inside. But, how can you be stylish without knowing the latest trends in your demographic.
I am aware that most blogs cater to teen girls when it come to fashion. Unlike those blogs, I am trying to differentiate myself from those blogs. I’m hoping to make this blog for both genders and people of all ages, because style is continuous.
After observing mature woman fashion, I notice that their style is more sophisticated and elegant, than the younger generation. However, since there isn’t a source for them to get style tips, they aren’t as aware of the current trends like teens. Mature women should embrace their age and body, just like a 21 year old would. “Like fine wine, I only get better with wine”, is the way you should think of yourself. Age is just a number girl! (you’re a cool woman if I call you girl lol)
So here are a few tips to help with your wardrobe:
Rule #1 Rock Solid
Try to minimize wearing patterns. Focus more on keeping it simple with solid colors. It will do wonders, and is easy to make a great out fit from, with the right accessories of course!
Rule #2 Accessorize
Remember less is more so don’t over do it by piling on your jewelry. Have one bold necklace be your statement, and add little rings or subtle bracelets to match. And since your attire is simple, it will be easy when it comes to accessories. When shopping for trendy jewelry try stores like H&M, Charming Charlie, and Forever 21, great for being on a budget.
Rule #3 Denim looks fab on older woman!
When I refer to denim, that doesn’t mean skinny jeans like your daughter, but a nice pair of boot cut or slim fit jeans with spandex is comfy and stylish.
Rule #4 Don’t say bye to color!
As woman get older, they feel that they must hang up their color, but you couldn’t be even more wrong. Have fun with color, stay connected with the seasonal color. Known pastels are for spring and bolder colors are for summer. Here’s a little help, this years spring color is pantone aquamarine! So get your aqua on girl!
Rule #5 Embrace your body!
Women tend to cover up as they get older, but I’m here to tell you to embrace what you have! Don’t always go for pants, or long sleeve, try a ski, it doesn’t have to be above the knee, skirts exist in all lengths and style. Have fun and be stylish!
