Last Impressions That Last a Lifetime

I mentioned in a previous post that invitations create the first impression for any event. Then the event happens and everyone has an awesome time. Then the event ends. What now?
Gratitude goes a long way, and it’s imperative that your guests know how much you appreciate them taking part in your special occasion. There are a variety of methods in which you can show gratitude, and whichever method you choose can depend on factors ranging from resources to simple one’s preferences. Regardless of your situation, the options are endless!
Simply sending out thank you notes is always a safe and acceptable option. Even thank you notes come in customizable and fun styles! However, if you’re looking to go beyond thank you notes, there are plenty of routes that provide lasting expressions of gratitude. For events such as birthdays, weddings, and showers, memorabilia items serve as great sentimental gestures of gratitude. Pictures in frames are a common example of memorabilia gifts. Other types of memorabilia gifts can include:
  • Jewelry/charms relating to the theme
  • Pieces of material that made up most if not all of the decorations
  • Recipes of dishes that were served
  • Coupons for the venue used for the event
  • Etc.
A tip for brainstorming gift ideas: it always helps to think about what YOU would like to receive if you were in THEIR shoes. And while it may be tempting to resort to the most extravagant option such as, oh, I don’t know, maybe PUPPIES…
Puppy Party Favors
…I have never seen party favors THIS impractical outside of the movie Bridesmaids. Working reasonably within your means ensures that everyone receives equal appreciation. Remember, something can be nice without being extravagant.
Bottom line — ALWAYS show gratitude when others embrace your special occasion. A celebration is as meaningful as the lives partaking in it. Appreciate the people who appreciate your accomplishments, because those are the ones worth keeping around.
