This week, I met up with Candice Cheung! Her name is a familiar one, as she’s been very active on the CSULB Class of 2018 Facebook page, so it was an interesting experience to finally meet up with her.
I’ve noticed that Candice’s posts on our class Facebook page are mostly clothing items that she has for sale. This reminds of me of how I did the same thing back in high school! My friends and I launched a massive sale of all our old clothes, textbooks, jewelry, and the like on social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. Over the course of a few months, we were able to make hundreds of dollars and get rid of some of the things that have been sitting in our room for years. So there was a fun trip down memory lane- and good luck to Candice!
We talked for a little about our living situations, and I mentioned that I was looking for a new apartment to move into. She said she had some friends here in Long Beach that had a decent place for an extremely forgiving price. She tried shooting them a message to get some more information about those apartments and the lease terms, which was really sweet of her! I’ve kept up with her on Facebook with her since then, and I appreciate her new friendship. (:
