This was such a fun, and extremely simple project, I just had to share it with you. I’m always looking for new and creative ways to display jewelry, for myself and home. I’ve seen several similar projects that have repurposed frames as anything from mirrors to trays, and displays.
It all began when I found this great vintage oval frame. I loved the shape and size as soon as I spotted it, and instantly knew what I wanted to do with it. I try not to purchase anything without having a purpose in mind first, new or used.
My goal was not to spend any extra money on the project, so I began my hunt around the house for tools and supplies. I found some tiny nails (I would of preferred some tiny screw hooks, but found none), and brown hemp cording. I thought the hemp looked great with the rustic frame.
And here are the results, what do you think? I love how it looks in its permanent home above my dresser, I have about sixteen pair of earrings on it, and room for about twenty. I could imagine frames painted in bright colors for a spunky girls room, or classic white or black displayed in a powder room, so many options. If you create your own, I’d love for you to share a photo here in comments!
I used earrings available in my Etsy shop to demo this display, so feel free to shop if you see something you love. This is such a simple project. However, if your not a DIY-er, and you’d like me to create a one of a kind display for you, send me a message and a photo of the room you would like one in and I’ll send you a price quote.
