Regina is a wonderful place to live with some amazing attractions and beautiful nature. It is the capital of Saskatchewan, and has a population of around 200,000. The football team here is the Roughriders, and people from here are very defensive of their football team. If you ever speak harshly against the riders, expect to have some defensive remarks thrown your way!
Regina is home to the Saskatchewan Parliament Buildings, as well as Wascana Park. Wascana park has a manmade lake that was dug out again in 2003. Interestingly, the designer of Wascana Park also designed the original world trade center.
As well, Regina has very many large companies you wouldn’t expect a city so small to have. Companies like 5 Guys, Lulu Lemon, and Sephora all have locations here.
You wouldn’t expect us to have a variety of home-grown businesses here, but there are a vast variety of businesses that started in Regina. Most famously, Hilberg and Berk is a jewelry company known for it’s sparkly multi-coloured earrings. These were even worn by the queen!
Regina also has niche services that may actually be helpful and extend into an international market. One of these services is poo crew. Poo Crew offers services that involve picking up dog poo for a small fee. Services like these are what make Regina unique.
