CEU To Hold 108th Grand Alumni Reunion
CENTRO ESCOLAR UNIVERSITY is holding its Grand Alumni Reunion on January 30, 2016.
CEU President, Dr. Ma. Cristina Padolina, leads the Grand Reunion which is the 108th alumni homecoming of the University.
Highlight of the event is honoring six groups of jubilarians: Gold (50 Years)– Class of 1965-1966; Sapphire (45 Years)– Class of 1970-1971; Ruby (40 Years)– Class of 1975-1976; Emerald (35 Years)– Class of 1980-1981; Pearl (30 Years)– Class of 1985-1986; and Silver (25 Years )– Class of 1990-1991.
Dr. Paz I. Lucido, president of the CEU Alumni Foundation Inc. (CEU AFI) which manages the Grand Reunion, said the Foundation, in cooperation with its alumni chapters, is now searching for the jubilarians from all parts of the world.
Another event during the Grand Reunion is the Talentadong Escolarians Competition among the various alumni chapters. The chapters have been advised to prepare their entries to the contest.
Centro Escolar University, the pink university on Mendiola Street, Manila, was founded in 1907 by Librada Avelino and Carmen de Luna, pioneer advocates of Ciencia y Virtud, or Knowledge and Virtue, the mission of Education, which is the core principle of the University and acclaimed as the mark of every true, pink Escolarian.
