Drawn to the translucency and versatility of bone china, Peter Bowles saw an opportunity to create something other than tableware with this time-honored material. The result is his Hector Collection (1992), which is beautifully crafted of hand-cast bone china. Creating these lights involves a highly skilled, labor-intensive process that begins with raw clay and ends with biscuit firing, glazing, glossing and firing again. When lit, these china shades have a translucent glow that allows for warm diffused light. Attention to detail is at the heart of every Original BTC collection, right down to the braided cord, which was designed by Peter and can be found on every light his company makes. The Hector Collection is UL Listed and suitable for contract use. Bulb (not included): 100W/GLS/E26. Made in England.
