After we parted ways at 10:30, the ladies hit the Mille spa to get ready. I had a hair and make up appointment at 11, and they let us hang out in the spa all morning long.
The day we arrived at the resort (literally, as we were checking in) I looked down at my hand and discovered that two of the nails had broken. A day later a third nail broke. So I made an appointment at the spa the day before the wedding for a manicure and polish change. I waited what seemed like a good amount of time after the manicure and left the spa. As I was walking back to my room, I noticed that the polish was creasing and “swirling”. It was really windy, and I don’t know if the wind was messing up the polish, or the humidity, but my polish looked crappy. I was able to re-do my thumbs in the morning, but when I look at MOH M and BM L’s nails in the photo above I get all wistful.
Moving on…
And with that, it was time for my “big reveal” to my parents.

Phil didn’t meet up with the ladies until 1 pm, so these next pictures are personal (and obviously, not nearly as good as when Phil showed up).
M & L are going to kill me. But I did warn them that I was putting this make-up-less pic on the blog. hehe.
The girls all primped.
Phil arrived a bit after 1. We ran to the buffet for a quick bite to eat (well, I just picked at my food) and then returned to the spa to finish getting dressed.
All photos from here on out are from Phil Steingard Studios.
Also, I’m just going to say this right now… my nails are a little bit of a sore spot with me. Especially when I see my hands in pictures. If you remember I had an appointment to get my nails done, and was looking at some fancy styles. Time for gifts.
We busted out the robes for some pictures:
Next up, it was time to get me dressed. MOH M laced me into my dress:
BM L helped me with my necklace
And I put on the rest of my jewelry
And with that… I became a bride:
And with that, it was time for my “big reveal” to my parents.
