Nothing ruins someone’s wedding photos more than a wedding guest showing up with a tacky, inappropriate outfit. If your friend invites you to his or her big day, you have to know what to wear to a wedding so you will do the new bride some justice (and make you look good).
First, check if the wedding is formal or casual. You don’t want to show up overdressed in a casual wedding or underdressed in a formal wedding.
Then check where the wedding is set. If it’s outdoors, don’t wear anything that will get caught in the wind. Also, don’t wear heels that will sink in the soil. If it’s indoors, then you can get away with more tailored and dressy outfits.
The general rule of thumb is wear a comfortable, elegant outfit that does not break the dress code set for the wedding.

Classic LBDs make you look clean and classy on a black tie wedding. Formal jumpsuits, which are an emerging trend in wedding fashion, are versatile, comfortable and fun to wear. Floor length chiffon gowns and cocktail dresses also look elegant in a formal black tie wedding and light enough for outdoor settings. If the venue is cold, or if you wear strapless or sleeveless dresses to a religious wedding, you can bring a scarf to cover your shoulders. Bring out all the fancy bags and jewelries that you have been saving for such special occasions.
