The daisy was given to warriors to wear and carry into battle. In Norse Mythology, Freya, the Goddess of love and Blossoms would protect the warriors who chose to wear this flower.
This daisy sleeps by the light of the moon. It was pulled from the earth and still has it’s roots attached. A gift to be given in its purest form from root to petal tip. Nothing is a miss here just as an innocent child would offer it to you made of freshwater pearl petals. Pearl’s are known to be the tears of the moon and was the reason I chose them for this piece with its nocturnal theme. Night being the darkness of war and the daisy being protection from the darkness given to warriors by Freya. Also, at one time, pearls were the most valued gemstone and were considered to be the best by royalty and brides to be.
