Put a belt on it

The other day was fashion week in Paris and I decided to go to the Isabel Marant show at the Palais de Tokyo (which also happens to be a modern art museum). Although I didn’t actually attend the show, which I would have loved to do, I just strolled around outside and watched some very fashionable people pass by and enter the fashion show. I enjoy doing this before the shows start because it gives me inspiration for outfits and items that I would like to buy later on – it’s sort of my live magazine.

So for that day I decided to pair my outfit with a red belt. It truly was a great addition to my outfit and the best decision I made! I found it suited my grey skirt and black suede shirt nicely. When I wear high waisted skirts like these, I always try to find something that will emphasize my waist a little bit more just to give it more shape, and the belt did  a fantastic job.

I was grateful that the day was warm and sunny because I would have been quite cold. The weather was just right, which enticed me to walk for a bit. However, my heels were a little bit hard to walk in but I managed! The good feature about my shoes were that they were open toed and reached the ankle. I found that this augmented my look because it cut off my feet and didn’t show too much skin, yet it still left some parts open.
